Warom rushed to rescue the collapsed open-pit coal mine in Inner Mongolia

At about 13:00 on February 22, a large-scale collapse occurred in the open-pit coal mine of Xinjing Coal Co., Ltd. in Alxa Left Banner, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

After the accident, Warom Lighting immediately launched a first-level emergency response plan. The Inner Mongolia Second Office and the Ningxia Office were divided into two groups to mobilize a variety of large and medium-sized emergency lighting equipment from the emergency warehouses in Inner Mongolia and Ningxia to provide technical services. The personnel raced against time and drove for several hours to rush to the accident scene to gather and carry out rescue work with all their strength.

Emergency Rescue Headquarters, State Grid Ningxia Electric Power Company Under the unified command of the staff of other relevant units, we worked side by side and devoted ourselves to the rescue work. We quickly determined the emergency lighting equipment usage plan based on the actual needs of the accident site, assigned each task to the specific responsible person, and arranged lights and wiring as quickly as possible., providing strong lighting support for on-site rescue teams and gaining valuable time for searching and rescuing missing persons.

Due to the huge amount of landslide at the accident site, poor stability of the slide body, and the risk of collapse at the trailing edge boundary of the slide body, secondary disasters are prone to occur. The removal of the slide body takes a long time, which makes the rescue work very difficult. According to CCTV, as of 22:30 on February 23, 12 people had been rescued, of which 6 survived, 6 died, and 47 were missing.
